Italy is one of the ultimate travel destinations. You cannot go wrong between the cuisine, the culture, the architecture, the history, the soccer, the cities, and the scenery. This post only begins to touch the possibilities this country has to offer.

Rome, the capital, offers you the most extensive cultural activities. You might visit one of the many piazzas, museums, cathedrals, and architectural marvels. While you are in Rome, be certain to check out the Vatican. You will need reservations to see many things inside the Vatican. Also, it is important to remember the Vatican is its own state, not actually a part of Rome. Next you should see Venice, the city of romance. Take a gondola ride and take in the local crafts of glass blowing and lace making.

Travel on to Florence, which was once home to historical figures such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rahpael, and Dante. While you are in Florence, venture out to see all of Tuscany. Take a cooking class, drive around the countryside, and stay in a Tuscan villa. Your trip would not be complete without all these experiences. For a relatively small-sized country, it has an incredible amount of places to visit and sights to see.

When it comes to traveling, Italy can be claimed to be a very generous country offering visitors a treasure chest full of attractions. But for many there is no better attraction surpassing the sight and smell of authentic Italian food, often a piece of art on its own.

Italy is blessed with quite a diverse regional cuisine, with several different specialties based on ingredients found in abundance in a particular region. However, there are some staple foods that are part of the culinary heritage of Italy which deserve some special attention.

Pizza, one of Italy’s most famous foods, can be savored with ”gusto” in just any restaurant or pizzeria but if you want the real thing, consider that pizza is ultimately a Neapolitan property where it is made best. Bruschetta, roasted bread served with a variety of toppings, is a much cherished antipasto from central Italy. Of course, you cannot go wrong with pasta whether ordering lasagna, tortellini, ravioli or gnocchi. When it comes to dessert, do not miss some creamy gelato, a refreshing granita or Tiramisu’, claimed by many ”the most heavenly Italian dessert on earth”.

These are only a small sample of the many ”must-eat” Italian foods visitors should absolutely not miss on their trip to this marvelous country, but it is truly worth it to try many more. Buon Appetito!Keep looking, there-s more: Buon appetito

Since that is the case, I will highlight the top five must see sites in Italy. The Colosseum in Rome is one piece of architecture that should not be missed. This Roman monument to mass entertainment has stood the test of time and is one of the most popular tourist spots in all of Rome. While in Rome, the Vatican Museums are another must see site. These museums house some the most beautiful artwork in known world and should not be missed. The next most memorable destination in Italy is Venice. This iconic city allows visitors to experience the charm of a gondola ride. After Venice, one should definitely visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa. This landmark is a historic structure that can instantly be recognized throughout the world. The last must see site on your Italian tour should be the Ruins of Ancient Pompei. This city of tragedy helps one appreciate the danger and beauty of Mount Vesuvius.
When traveling to Italy, many are interested in seeing the architecture. There are coliseums and other buildings that are extremely old and full of history. It is important to map this out before going to Italy. There are guides that are able to give extremely nice tours of the country. There are also vineyards that can be seen, beaches and many more beautiful sights

Another great attraction in Italy is the shopping. Italy is known for being one of the fashion capitals of the world. People flock to this style and fashion mecca to get the best shoes, clothes, and handbags. Food is also a great reason to visit Italy. The food in Italy has been passed on for many generations and is truly authentic. The chefs make dishes such as homemade pasta and make tomato sauce homemade as well. Pizza shops and restaurants can be seen all over this country with authentic italian food. Enjoy with a glass of wine made by one of the local vineyards. Going to Italy will surely be a trip filled with history and adventure.
